Surveying and construction courses

Our courses are accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB). This means you can be confident that your degree is professionally relevant and of a high quality.

These courses share a common first two years, where you'll develop a comprehensive understanding of the principles that underpin construction management and surveying. At the end of your second year, you can choose to continue on your existing degree or switch to another of our undergraduate surveying and construction courses.

You'll analyse building performance and material lifecycles to establish the cause and effect of building defects. This course is designed to prepare you for a successful career in building surveying.

Learn about the mechanisms that determine the cost and price of construction, and how to complete projects on budget and on time. You'll develop specialist knowledge of construction economics and contract law.

Build the technical knowledge and practical skills you need to manage construction operations. You’ll have the opportunity to explore subjects such as green innovation and historic built environments.

Gain a thorough knowledge of technical and managerial issues. You'll learn the latest thinking in management expertise and specialise in the area that you’re most passionate about.
